Abbey Pond Trail
This trail begins on the east side of Vermont Route 116, about 5.5 miles north of East Middlebury. You will soon pass a cascading mountain stream. Just past the first stream crossing on the left through oak woods is a nice view of the Champlain Valley from a ledge. Abbey Pond itself supports an interesting community of marsh plants and animals.
