Trailhead: The trail begins at the Blueberry Hill Inn, located on the Goshen Road, halfway between Ripton on VT 125 and Goshen on VT 73.
From Rochester, head west toward VT-100 S/S Main Street. Follow VT-100 S for less than a mile, and then turn right onto VT-73 W (Brandon Mountain Rd). Continue to follow VT-73 W for 10.7 miles. Turn right onto Hathaway Road and stay on this road for 1.4 miles. Next, you’ll turn right onto Flora White Rd and follow that for another 1.4 miles. Finally, turn right onto Goshen-Ripton Rd. The Blueberry Hill Inn will be on the right in 1.3 miles.
Directions: From the back of the inn on the left side of the building, pick up the cross-country ski trail at trail marker 1. Trail intersections and the trails themselves are numbered, so read carefully. Just know that the lower numbers lead back to the Inn. Following the contour of Hogback Mountain, the terrain is mostly level. There is a bit of an uphill section after #21. When you least expect it, you will come across the most stunning views of the mountains. If you feel like you want to keep going, you can climb up the old road for some even better sights. When you’re ready to head back, go through the gate and bear left at intersection #25.
